Mini Writes (Jason)

The darkness ate him whole leaving him with nothing but the stale air. His eyes had opened and closed many times but he could tell no difference. His cheeks were stained with tears that had flooded down them earlier. He had been thrown down into the darkness, and now he was all alone. She had beaten him many times before and her name was Rebecca. For so long he had kept the pain hidden, he had worn a smile everyday insisting his life was good. And now here he lay broken, and abused cast into the darkness. He questioned why he had to be the one who went home to a fist. If there was anyone out there who would listen to him, he asked why it had to be him. There was no one there to comfort him in those dark days when Rebecca had beaten him, he could not tell anyone.
Rebecca had warned him not to, she had said this was between him and her, and she did it because she loved him. He had questioned many times how could pain be love, and if it was he wanted nothing to deal with it. For many months he had wished he could erase those days from his mind, and go back to the peaceful life he once knew. However Rebecca was his reality, and she would marry his father, and things would get much, much worse.
He couldn't understand anything anymore, he had grown distant from his two closest friends, and there was no one he could talk to anymore, he had to keep it all hidden inside himself. He gasped for breath at the sudden pain in his side, he moved his hands towards the area and felt the warm blood, spilled out of his side. His head was pounding, and his bones felt broken. he was surprised he had remained conscious after the horrible fall down the steps.
He thought everything was lost ever since Rebecca came into his life, and he felt he had been right, because now here he lay, on the cold hard cement floor with no love, and everything began to feel hopeless. He closed his eyes and wept to himself, he no longer cared about suppressing his feelings. No one would hear him, and even if they did no one would care. Suddenly lies started to swarm his mind, thoughts that told him he was worthless, unloved, a mistake, that he deserved to get beat. He sat there believing everything that came to his mind, weeping for himself, and hating the world.
Suddenly a bright light filled the room, illuminating everything that there was no shadow in the room. The light was so bright that he could barely see, it seemed just as bad as the darkness accept he felt a warmth spread throughout his body, and he heard these words.
"Jason peace be with you, and know that you are loved by one much more greater than these,"
His heart flooded with love, and his mind overflowed with joy. These words brought him so far out of the depths, and filled every hole in his heart, and filled it with something new, there was love. His mind held a new piece of light in it, and now the only thing he could see was this light. The love that had shone from it, and the peace that came from it. Jason knew immediately that he was loved more than anything, the words were spoken in such an affectionate and true tone. There was no mistaking, he felt that nothing could tare down his love ever again, especially not now that he had this new light inside of him.
He stood up with a new strength he had never possessed , and even thou that bright light had left the room, it was still in his heart. He looked around the room that was once dark, and now it was illuminated with light, he could see everything clearly as if there was no darkness at all. He knew that he would be changed forever stepping out of this basement. All of the hate, all of the pain was gone, and love and joy replaced it, and he wanted to tell others of this new light he had found. One that shone more brighter than any that he had ever seen.
